Preventing tartar in cats?
– tried everything already? My cat always looks at me as if she is checking whether I still have all the cups in the cupboard. And I was a little ashamed of her. So far, I haven’t really had anything new. It has to be species-appropriate for them and suitable for everyday use for me. But now I’ve got it and I’m happy to share it with you: New knowledge about cat tartar prevention!
Why – preventing tartar in cats is so important!
My first cats were outdoor cats. They were given normal milk and canned milk. The teeth were clean until the last day after more than 20 years. Now vets are providing more and more information about how much and for how long animals have to suffer today.
Studies: 80% of cats with dental problems and oral diseases. The cause is the genetic modification of the saliva. The self-protection of the teeth no longer works. Who knew FORL or oral cavity infections 15 years ago – cats certainly didn’t. I was also shocked by the fact that gingivitis develops within 48 hours. Who looks their cat in the mouth every day? – or which one puts up with it. I still can’t believe it – but I am determined to do something. I want to help – to reduce the suffering of our cats. It simply cannot happen today.
And as a young microbiologist, I had an idea!
How new dental care for – cat tartar prevention – came about?
I have an idea! – were then 10 years of hard research work. Later I found out that US companies had already tried their hand at it. The most difficult thing: a new production process. Microbiological results from my other projects have supported me – and my great team. It was worth it: today, cats all over the world brush their teeth in a species-appropriate way and without side effects. And every cat can use it to prevent tartar – it’s easy!

I’m sure my cat doesn’t like it, because she’s super mouthy – you say. No problem – just tempt her: mix a few crumbs of dental flakes with her favorite treat and let her lick it off your finger! It makes everyone weak. The cats are all in love with their flakes. They sense exactly what is good for them. First the bad breath is gone. No longer constantly up your nose. Teeth are still clean.
