– Life with treats is twice as much fun. This applies to the dogs – but also to their humans, because they are also rewarded – with a wagging tail. It is not only important that they are low in calories. They must be natural and healthy. Many people now think that only lean meat is an option. But it is also about essential vital substances – such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Dogs also cannot produce minerals themselves and not all essential amino acids are contained in meat.
Where do the vital substances in the treats come from?
Most treats consist of meat. Unfortunately, however, the various amino acids are not balanced. Above all, tryptophan is missing. The amino acid cysteine has the lowest proportion in lamb meat. The minimum law states that all amino acids are only processed into body substance up to the level of the lowest amino acids. This is converted into fat or carbohydrates. That’s why the treats in particular should contain everything that is missing from the feed meat and thus supplement it.
