Dog chews → something different? Cheese bones? Super!

Dog chew
– You can’t do without it. Chewing is important. Not only to reduce stress, but also to support important metabolic processes and intestinal movement. But many dogs have gotten out of the habit of chewing or have never learned it in the first place. Even a slinger, who has only ever had fresh meat from the hunt, is now standing there and chewing with relish. And you can read what a great experience that is in his eyes. Find out why here:

When do dog chews really make dogs happy?

Whether large or small – raw bone or meat – it has to be the right one. Many dogs cannot tolerate raw bones or have an allergy to certain types of meat. But all one

together: the amino acid tryptophan is contained in meat in far too small amounts – only ¼ of the content of the other amino acids. That’s why a dog chew made of meat doesn’t really make your dog happy. Tryptophan is the raw material for serotonin and dopamine. They are not only the basis for important metabolic processes, but also for well-being and happiness.

But tryptophan can also be a good support for anxious dogs. The dopamine reduces anxiety and you go through the world with self-confidence and composure.

Aggressive, restless dogs get the calm they need thanks to the natural messenger substance GABA

and coolness.

Unfortunately, only 15% of the little tryptophan from meat reaches the brain.

And only if carbohydrates are available, which hold back the other amino acids when they fight at the brain barrier. This is why food and chews should contain sufficient amounts of this essential amino acid.

How do you provide the body with sufficient tryptophan?

This is an important question that science is researching – also for people with depression. And the result is mostly synthetic amino acids, only 1/3 of which can be processed by the body. That’s why it’s always a good idea to take another look to see if nature already has something in stock.

And this is the highest quality protein quark with a biological value of 89%. It comes just after the whole egg (100%) and contains a lot of natural tryptophan.

However, as this amino acid can only pass the blood-brain barrier if it is accompanied by a few carbohydrates, we should combine the quark.

Not with cereals because of the gluten and a few healthy carbohydrates are enough.

We find this in buckwheat. The largest proportion is plant proteins and a few healthy, light carbohydrates. And the best thing is: it contains all the vitamins and minerals. So all the requirements for happiness are met. Not quite yet – the chewing is still missing.

How is the chew article created – the one that really makes you happy?

If you add buckwheat, rapeseed oil and organic coconut oil to cottage cheese (cooked quark) – when baked at around 100°C, you get wonderful cheese bones – rock-hard ones for nibbling and puffed ones for chewing. The puffed ones have a chewing gum effect. When they come into contact with saliva, they start to stick, so that even those who swallow have to chew. The cheese bones are baked nature without chemical additives and with a happiness guarantee. Because now you know why.

By the way: Cheese bones stop bad breath and clean teeth. The natural antibacterial effect of milk proteins helps here. People have been using them for centuries with the well-known curd compresses for inflammation. A protein complex attaches itself to the cell walls of the bacteria and destroys them. This means that plaque, gingivitis and tartar don’t stand a chance. It’s worth a try:
